Welcome Aboard !!!

We haven't done too much since I last posted. Went to Charleston to the boat show last week and then back to Charleston on Monday to see Marina's cardiologist. That was a good day as she got a VERY good report. We had two couples over for dinner Friday night and had a nice evening. The rest has been the same old stuff-piano lessons, prayer services at the nursing home and such. Tomorrow we leave for St. Augustine, and then Tuesday on to Miami. Wednesday morning we fly to Havana and spend 5 nights there, returning to Miami on Monday, February 15. We'll stay somewhere in Florida on Monday night and then come home the next day. Marina and Skipper have their pal Rebecca staying at the house while we're gone so they will be happy. We should have lots ofpictures and stories to tell when we return so stay tuned!!!

We've done a lot since I last posted so will try to catch up now. A couple weeks ago I had a nice lunch out with my piano teacher and the other "grown-up" student, Sharon. We had a great lunch that lasted 3 hours while we chatted about everything under the sun.

The next day we drove to Atlanta to see new baby Jace! He is the sweetest thing that ever lived. We enjoyed seeing Bunny and John's new house. Alex brought the baby over and I enjoyed cuddling him for a long while before they left and we had dinner. The next day we went to Alex and Whit's for lunch and then stopped for icecream on the way home. That night we had a  wonderful family dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant. Baby Jace just slept the whole evening. We drove home the next morning. A great trip.

The following week we met with a builder to start discussing options for building a house on our new lot. Wegot a lot of good information and understand the process a bit more now. There is another custome builder in Beaufort that we want to meet with so this  will be a slow process but it's interesting! Oliver has spent a  lot of time at the lot clearing some brush at one side of the property and we had our first home owner's association meeting-all 4 of us!!

This week we went to Charlotte to see our best friends Bobby and Phyllis. We always have such a great time with them, although our first couple of hours there was spent at the Urgent Care center. Last week when we were walking the dogs Marina got tangled in her leash and fell down. She gets a little panicky when things like that happen because she can't see very well and doesn'tknow what is happening so when Oliver was trying to get her untangled, she snapped at him and caught his hand and broke the skin. It was no big deal but when we got to Charlotte we all thought it looked swollen so we went to get some antibiotics. By the next day it was fine and is completely healed now. I had brought lasagna so we had that for dinner that night and then hours of chatting. Tuesday was freezing cold there so we stayed in and watched a movie, had a yummy tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwhich lunch and more good talk time. We left Wednesday morning and had an easy drive home.

Yesterday was my busy day-morning prayer at Summitt Place, a hair appointment, and bell choir practice. Glad to be home today with nothing to do. We're supposed to have rain so it will be a cozy day inside. We leave for our Cuba trip 2 weeks from Monday so will start thinking about packing.

Baby Jace liked the quilt I made for him-I think

Cheers!

Happy New Year to all! Hope everyone had a great holiday season and now are all ready for 2016. We had our usual quiet evening at home and enjoyed the wonderful weather, right up until yesterday, when it started cooling down and today was downright COLD!!  We went out to walk the dogsin sweatshirts, parkas, hats, gloves, etc. and found that our garage door wouldn't open when we wanted to come back in. Of course, we had no house key or even a cell phone with us. I went across the street to borrow the phone to call our dog sitter, who has a house key, but before I made the call my brilliant husband took the battery out of the door opener and held it in his hand to warm it up and that worked!  Good thing to remember.

This afternoon we closed on the lot we bought! Don't know how soon we will think about building but when we do, the lot is ours. We hadn't planned to buy a lot but circumstances just seemed to lead  us to it. It started way back before we even bought the boat. Oliver was talking with one of our priests about looking at boats and Mark said he kept his boat at a private dock on the street next to our street. Lucy Creek runs by the end of our neighborhood and next door there was a 12 acre parcel that was bought by a developer in 2007. He broke the land up into 4 lots and 8 acres of common ground. He sold 2 lots and then the housing bubble burst and everything came to a stop. He had already built the 4 boat dock, though, so he rented the 4 slips out. After we bought our boat, we rented a slip in the downtown marina but decided a few months ago to think about moving it closer. Oliver got the developer's phone number from Mark and called him. The developer said he had sold one of the 2 remaining lots and the owner of that lot was handling the slips so we called him (Mike). Oliver met with Mike and learned that one of the slips might be available and we said we would like to rent it. When it turned out to be available, we jumped right on it and moved the boat. Through that process, we met Mike's wife Jeannine and spent some time with them and found we really had a lot in common and liked them very much. We've been to dinner with them, took them to church with us, and spent Christmas Day with them. Oliver fell in love with the other lot and between him and Mike and Jeannine-how could I refuse? So the developer (Bob) came to meet with us and we ended up agreeing on a price, so here we are! We are meeting with a builder next week, just to explore the process. Mike and Jeannine have their house on the market and plans drawn up, so they will start building in the near future, so we probably will as well.Mike andOliver are both very handy and they look forward to working on the common property. The other 2 lot owners live out of town, so the 4 of us are essentially the Homeowner's Association!

We are heading to Atlanta on Thursday to see baby Jace and can't wait! Then on January 18, we are going to Charlotte to visit Phyllis and Bobby. In February we are heading to Cuba for a week, so we have busy times ahead of us!

Here are a few pictures of the lot:

This is from the river side of the lot looking towards the road and the common property. The 2 palm trees will be moved to another spot to make room for the house.

This is the river side of the lot, overlooking our dock. We are going to have the little trees removed to open the view.

Looking a little bit to the left. The lot right next to us likely won't be built on for quite a while and the one next to that one is Mike and Jeannine's.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!! We have had such a nice week. On Tuesday one of my bell ringer buddies and I went to Summit Place (the nursing home) and sang Christmas carols with the memory care residents. Then yesterday morning I was back there to assist with communion. Last night we went to the 7:30 Christmas Eve service, as Oliver was ushering. We usually go at 11 but we enjoyed the earlier service and several of our neighbors were there to sit with me! Our Rector once again gave an amazing sermon. His theme was Is there any room tonight? He said that one thing that hasn't changed in 2000 years is that there is seldom any room for Jesus. There was no room at the inn 2000 years ago and today there is no room for Jesus in our schools, in our public buildings and in many homes. He told us that Jesus was our most important gift, the only gift that was designed just for us and the only gift that we absolutely need. He talked about something I never thought of-when babies are born, the birth announcement always goes something like baby born to parents' name, etc. But when Jesus's birth was announced, the angel said "Born unto YOU" - and the announcement was made to the absolute lowest of all people at the time-the shepherds. I am always inspired and uplifted by his sermons and often listen to them online a few days after the service.  After the service we chatted for a while with friends as it was 70 degrees and the bells ringing were so beautiful. This morning we were up early so that I could make some hash brown cups for the brunch we attended. Our new, and already very good friends, Jeannine and Mike invited us to go to the annual Christmas Beach Brunch with the Power Squadron. There were 25 or so there and everybody brought yummy food, as well as Bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers, so it was very festive! It was warm but foggy and stayed that way until we got home this afternoon. We walked our doggies over to the lot that we are in the process of buying and looked at the "string house" that Mike and Jeannine constructed on their lot yesterday. Now we are home and tired and stuffed and ready to start a diet tomorrow!

We hope everybody had a wonderful day and look forward to a great New Year!

Lots of toasts!

There were some horses on the beach.

We just returned from an early Christmas trip to Grand Rapids to see Mary and the rest of the Michigan family. For the first time, we had a dog sitter at the house for Marina and Skipper. Marina is really showing her age and we thought that it would be easier on her to stay at home. Rebecca works at our vet's office and she stayed overnight with them and came at lunch time to spend time with them. They all seemed to do very well - not sure if I was more worried about the dogs or Rebecca - so she will come again when we take our trip to Cuba.

We had a very nice time with Mary. Last week was so hectic for us. On Friday night we had a party at the Rectory and I had to help set up and clean upso we were thereforquite a while. Oliver spent Thursday doing some painting at church and on Saturday, he power washed the front and back porches at the Vicarage and did some painting there. On Sunday we went to church early as it was Lessons and Carols-a big day-and Oliver was ushering and the bell choir was ringing. He did a great job ushering-the bell choir, not so much! Then we rushed home to change clothes and head off to a brunch wth our church foyer group. It was a beautiful day and the hostess lives on Fripp Island so we sat outside overlooking the golf course and the ocean. After the brunch, we rushed home, changed clothes again and then met some friends over at the boat for cocktails and drinks. Then home to pack and left for the airport on Monday morning.

Our flights were great-on time and smooth and we had time for lunch in Atlanta. Mary picked us up and we had a nice cocktail hour and then a yummy beef stew dinner. We stayed upkind of late talking but slept really well. On Tuesday I had to go to Walgreen's because I thought I had forgotten my makeup. Of course I found it after returning from buying it all again! Tuesday night Carol & Tom, Ashley and David and the little boys came over for dinner. I really enjoyed looking at the pictures from Carol and Tom's mediterranean cruise and we had a good dinner and then watched the debate. Cooper and Sully wereSO good-they just played quietly the whole time! We stayed up way too late so Wednesday was a quiet day-I think we spent almost the whole day sitting in thekitchen talking! It was such a treat for us, after such a busy week. Mary was going to take usoutto dinner but we had so much food left that we convinced her to have leftovers! Our flight this morning was at 6AM so we had a 4:30 taxi so  went bed by 10. Of course I didn't sleep at all well. Our flights today were on time but there were thunderstorms around Atlanta soit was a pretty bumpy day. I was coming down with a cold so didn't feel at all well. We stopped at Walgreens for some Nyquil and by 2PM is was home and in bed.Hope I feelbetter tomorrow as I have a mammogram and bone density test at 9AM!! Hopefully the rest of the day and week-end will be quiet!

Here's the family at our "Christmas" dinner

I don't know where the time has gone! I didn't realize how long it had been since I updated the blog. We've mostly been doing the same old stuff-church, bell choir, nursing home prayer meetings, and some boating. We had a few days of rain but now the weather has been fantastic for the past week or more. We took a really long boat ride one day last week. It was calm and sunny and warm and we went out St. Helena's Sound almost to the Atlantic and then back around Lucy Creek, which is where our neighborhood slip is and then out to the Harbor River and back. There is so much water here, you can spend hours and never repeat the same trip.

We had a nice Thanksgiving in Savannah with John and Jeannete. Debbie and her mother were also there along with 3 dogs, so it was active. Fortunately we were able to be outside the whole time except when we ate. Jeannette did a wonderful job, making a turkey AND a ham and mashed potatoes and dumplings and cornbread dressing. I made a broccoli casserole and green beans and dessert, so we were all stuffed by the time we were done.

The day after Thanksgiving brought a new baby to our family! Alex and Whit welcomed Jace Craig Davenport, all 7 pounds 7 ounxces and 19 inches of him! He is absolutely precious and we can't wait to get over there to meet him in person! Mother and baby and grandmother are ALL doing just fine.

I spent the week-end decorating the house and it looks really nice inside and outside. Oliver helped me with all the wreaths and the nativity scene and my new star shower lights, and I did all the inside stuff. it's so much work and before we know it, I'll be taking it all down and making a million trips back up to the attic!

We had a fun day today. It is Christmas week-0end in Beaufort. We didn't go into town last night for the Night on the Town when all the streets are bovked off and all the stores stay open late and serve hot chocolate and treats but it was a beautiful night and they had a big crowd. We stayed home and had a fire outside before dinner. Today we went in at around 4 for the holiday shrimp festival where all the restaurants serve different shrimp dishes and people vote on the best ones. It was yummy and after eating we went to our favorite bar, Luther's, to have a drink and wait for the lighted boat parade. There were a LOT of people down in the park so we went over to the marina and walked out on the dock and we were so close to the boats we could have touched them! There were about 20 boats decorated and the night was so calm and warm. Really lovely. We came home and fed our dogs and now Oliver is watching the Clemson-UNC game while I do my blog.

Next week is crazy busy. Marina hass a doctor's appointment, I have a lunch date with my neighbor, our pet and house sitter is coming over for last minute instructions and I'm getting my hair cut before bell choir practice on Thursday. Then on Friday I have hopsital visits for the church and I was supposed to docent but fortunately found someone to switch with me because I have to be at the Rectory by 5PM to set up for our Advent party. There will be about 130 people there so it is a big task!  On Sunday Oliver ushers at church for the Lessons and Carols service and the bell choir is playing two songs so it will be a big day! After church we are heading up to Fripp Island for a Foyer Group brunch with our group of 13-I have to make dessert on Saturday for that and have to make cookies for the Rectory party SOMETIME dring the week!! On Monday we fly to Grand Rapids for our pre-Christmas visit with Mary and the rest of the Michigan family. Looking forward to a few days of rest!! After we get back, it will be a bit quieter. Oliver ushers again for one of the Christmas Eve services and the bell choir will play as well. John and Jeanette will come up one day-not sure which one. Can't believe this year is almost over-where did it all go?

Here's our new baby boy!

As soon as he had his first bath, he had to dress in his Georgia Bulldog outfit!!

We are feeling so terrible about what happened in Paris. It doesn't seem possible that we were there just a month ago. Pray for peace-pray for Paris.

We've had such a nice week-end. On Friday night we went over to our new slip to have cocktails on the boat. The sunset was beautiful and we enjoyed being able to take the golf cart.

Yesterday we went out to Laurel Springs Plantation-owned by our neighbors-for a party for Father Jeff, who has been the Rector at St. Helena's for 10 years. It was a surprise oyster roast and he was totally shocked! There were almost 400 people there and the weather couldn't have been better. The Bishop of South Carolina came and our Bishop in residence wrote a funny and moving poem. The food was wonderful-oysters (which I don't eat), a wonderful chili, hot dogs, hush puppies, s'mores and a million different desserts. We had a great time but we were tired thismorning when it was time to get up for church.

This week should be quiet, we hope. Just the usual stuff and maybe a boat ride to take on some fuel. Thanks for visiting.

Well we made it through the bazaar and street faire. Poor Oliver was there til 6PM on friday night and then left at 6AM Saturday morning and didn't get home til 6PM Saturday night. He went back on Monday and worked another 8 hours and is now just totally exhausted! I was there at 7"30AM on Saturday and spent my time in the graveyard until 2PM. I changed clothes-my feet were killing me!!- and then helped clean up for a while before I came home. It was great fun and we were SO lucky with the weather. It was bright and sunny and warm until about 2 hours after the event and then it poured down rain and rained again Sunday and Monday. The Lord was watching over us.

Today we went down to the marina at about 11 and got ready to move the boat. For a few months, at least, we are going to have 2 slips. One will be at the Downtown Marina, perfect for attending local festivals and for heading south, and one will be at a private dock right at the end of our street and is perfect for just running over to work on it or take a quick ride, or for going north. We'll decide later whether we want to keep both. The weather was amazing-sunny and warm and calm. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get from the marina to our slip--by car it is about 15 minutes! There were llots of sailboats southbound, mosly from the northeast. A couple of dolphins accomapnied us on the trip. We never go out without seeing at least one. There are quite a few in Lucy Creek, where our local slip is.

Here I am at the street faire as missionary Elizabeth Wilkinson

This is Lt. General Richard Anderson and Colonel John Barnwell, who was buried here in 1724!

Here is the dolphin helping us along

Here's aour  secondary slip on Lucy Creek.

There are 4 slips here. We have power, water and a fish cleaning station.

When Merry Maids come, the doggies have to stay upstairs. Marina can't wait to get out!

Only two  days til the big street faire and bazaar at church. Oliver has been at church all day every day this week working and today and tomorrow will be very long days. He is enjoying it but will be glad when it's over. I've been doing my same weekly "chores"-piano  lessons and prayer services. Monday was my last piano lesson til January. Pat gave me several assignments. She bought me a cute bag to carry my music books  and she also gave me two new books so I have LOTS to work on for the next two months. Yesterday I indulged my guilty pleasure-paying someone to clean my house!I feel a bit guilty as I sit and  work on my quilt while a cute young girl works so hard but....

Yesterday we met a guy at the property one street  over to look at a boat slip. There are 4 lots for sale but they are having a problem selling. The guy bought the property right before the real estate crash and he built 4 really nice boat slips, with electricity, water and a locked gate to get to them. One of our priests from church rents one of them and told us about it. We have decided to rent one since it is so close-within walking distance and for the next 4 months we'll have both slips and will decide which location we like better-downtown or in the neighborhood. We'll probably move the boat over here next Wednesday.

Tomorrow I go to Savannah to pick up my costume for Saturday and then it is my day to visit any church members who are in the hospital.

Here is Marina waiting by the door until the Merry Maid is done!

I lifted this picture of  Scott and Mary and Chuck and Claria and us from Mary's blog.

We were down at the boat the other day when a whole line of sailboats came through the bridge. It's been REALLY busy as so many boats head south for the winter.

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

We've been REALLY busy since I last posted! On the 18th, the handbell choir played at church-my first time! I think we did really well, at least that's what Oliver and a few other people told me. Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing! I had a piano lesson last Monday and didn't play very well but I told Pat I was playing MUCH better at home and she believed me so passed me on to the next lesson! I had to cancel my lesson for this week, though, because I hadn't done enough practice to make it worthwhile! trying to do better this week. My teacher will be gone for 5 weeks starting Nov 11, so I want to have a lot of new material to work on while she is gone. We had the dogs groomed on Tuesday, I had lunch with my neighbor on Wednesday, had Summit Place prayer service on Thursday morning and bell choir practice on Thursday afternoon, and went to our organ concert Friday at noon and then was the docent until 4PM.

I got a surprise email from Mary Coles on Wednesday. Scott and Mary are from Ipswich, MA, and did the Loop when we did. We spent quite a bit of time with them in Key West and in the Bahamas. They went home and went back to work and bought a small boat. But now they have taken a year off from their jobs and bought a bigger boat and are on their way to the Bahamas for the winter. They stayed in Beaufort for 2 nights so on Saturday we met them, and another couple that lives here and also looped when we did, at Habersham, a Beaufort community, for their fall harvest festival. We all had lunch and looked at the arts and crafts and chatted, and then we ran home to let the dogs out and then went to the Gorgen's home for cocktails and more catching up. It was a really nice day and such a pleasant surprise. Then on Sunday I got a Facebook message from kathy Wiskow, a friend from church in Port Washington-she was actually my handbell choir director there. She and husband Jerry were up at edisto Beach-between here and Charleston-and just realized how close we were so wanted to get together. On Monday morning Oliver and I drove to Savannah to go to the costume rental shop for my church street faire costume and then came home and called Kathy. They drove down that afternoon and we had drinks here and then went into town for dinner. We sat and chatted until almost 10PM-it was such a nice surprise to see them and we enjoyed catching up.

Yesterday and today have been ":free" days for me. Today I spent the morning putting a backing on one of the baby quilts I had finished so that I can donate it to the church for the bazaar on the 7th. Oliver is over at church right now at a meeting of the steering committee for the bazaar and faire. He was in charge of port a potties, trash bins, logistics for tables, tents and chairs, and coordinating with a local charity for anything that is left after the bazaar. On Sunday we have a pizza party after church for all volunteers-and then we have to clear out our entire Parish hall where the bazaar will be held. I'll go down to Savannah next Friday to pick up my costume while Oliver coordinates all his deliveries. We are looking forward to the day but also looking forward to it being behind us!!

This morning the guys were here to clean the pool and a bit later I went out with the dogs to hear this loud slurping noise! They had opened the vlave to let a bit of water out because we had quite a bit of rain but then they forgot to close it! The water was about a foot down, below the cleaner heads and when Oliver went out, he discovered that they had left the valve open. I called the company right away and they sent somebody out. We really could have handled it ourselves but wanted them to see it because we're asking for an adjustment to cover our increased water bill! So now the hose is runnign and it will take several hoours to get the water level back up. They were very apologetic and fortunately, there was no harm done. If we hadn't been here, the pumps likely would have burned out! We hhave a new pool guy-our third in two years. They seem to have a problem with their employees losing their driver's licenses!

Here are Scott and Mary Coles

And Kathy and Jerry Wiskow with us at Luther's

Here's the front of the quilt I am donating

And here's the back-it is a very soft flannel. I hope they'll make a bit of money on it.

We've had a nice week without too much to do. The weather has been perfect so we have been walking the dogs and working a bit in the yard. Oliver is off to Lowe's right now to get some new sprinkkler heads. We closed on our new"digs" - our cemetery plots - on Wednesday. Not that we are in a hurry to move in there, but by  doing it before the end of the year we saved $500 and it just feels better to have a plan in place. On thursday I did prayer service at Summit Place and then bell choir practice in the afternoon. We play on Sunday and I had to hem the sleeves of my choir robe and then wash and iron so I got that all done yesterday. We also washed the boat yesterday and I was so glad to finally get the inside all scrubbed down. It really needed it but it has been so hot that I didn't feel like tackling that job.  I tried the other day but Oliver was doing something with the engine and between the diesel fumes and the cleaning fumes, I got nauseated and went home.  But yesterday was perfect and everything is now spick  and span. We are hoping to take a little overnight trip to hilton Head next month so needed to get this work done.  After we finished, we went to Luther's and had a late lunch/early dinner on the deck. It was so good and so nice to sit outside and watch the boats go by. Busy week coming up-piano lesson, a tea for some club that my neighbor has invited me to, a church ladies dinner out (all Monday!), the dogs go to a new groomer on Tuesday, regular Thursday activities, and then I docent on Friday. Phew.

Here's Oliver enjoying the deck at Luther's

Sunday, October 11, 2015

Finally recovered enough from our Paris trip to update my blog!!  We didn't realize how tired we were until we had to get back into our "real" lives. First up was a visit from our Port Washington friend Alice. She arrived on a Wednesday evening (I think maybe October 1?) and we were so happy to see her. We had a nice quiet eveing over a brisket dinner, getting caught up with her recent trips and our trip. On Thursday she went with me to Summit Place for the prayer service and then we went out to Old Sheldon Church. This is a church that was affiliated with our Parish Church and was burned in the Revolutionary War, rebuilt, burned in the Civil War and not rebuilt. it is still a very beautiful place and our church has a service there the second Sunday after Easter. Everyone brings a picnic lunch and it is a very special time. Of course, Hurricane Joaquin was hanging around off the coast and the weather was rapidly getting worse so we did as much as we could. Thursday night Alice treated us to a wonderful dinner at the Tavern at Lady's Island Country Club. on friday we went downtown to browse through the arts and crafts that were to be part of the shrimp festival. We ate at home that night and planned to eat shrimp on Saturday but that was not to be. It started pouring rain so on Saturday we visited the Kazoo factory! There are only two kazoo factories in the US-one in upstate New York and one in Beaufort. We were the only visitors  so we had a private tour-the museum, a movie and quiz, a demonstration of kazoos and other instruments and a tour of the back where they assemble, imprint, package and ship the kazoos. After that, we got to assemble our own kazoos and play a song with Melody, our tour guide and then do a bit of shopping. We went down to the marina but the shrimp festival had been cancelled so we came on home. Allice left on Sunday-we weren't sure how it would go, since she had to drive through Columbia, but she called later that afternoon to say she made it to the SC mountains, so we were relieved. The state is quitedecimated however, especially Columbia where dams broke and the water mains broke and many people still don't have water. Interstate 95 is still closed for about 50 miles, resulting in a 135 mile detour for those headed south!

This week was veyr busy as well. On Tuesday I had my hair cut while Oliver attended a meeting at church and on Thursday I took some kazoos over to Summit Place and after the prayer service, we did a singalong in the memory care unit and formed a kazoo band. It was great fun and we have been asked to do this every month. Thursday afternoon I have bell choir practice. We play next Sunday so are busy practicing. friday morning the Merry Maids came to cean my house and they were there til 4:15. They assured me that it WASN'T because I had a dirty house but because I was having a "deep cleaning". Every piece of woodwork and every cabinet in the house was washed down as well as all the window sills, plantation shutters and floors. Everything really sparkled when they left!! Friday night was the choir party for Pat, my piano teacher and our retiring music director. The party was great fun, with good food, good entertainment, and lots of tears. Yesterday was spent getting ready for a church dinner party we hosted for 8. Everyone brought something but I made the main course and some potatoes. My friend and amazing hostess Sue gave me the recipe for the pork dish which was yummy. Wish she had mentioned that it MIGHT overflow though-I didn't put a sheet under it and when I opened the oven doopr, it had spilled and smoke came rolling out! The smoke detector started going off and one of my guests stood under it flapping a towel, while another answered the phone when the monitoring company called to say that it appeared our house was on fire, while two others calmly watched football! Eventually it all came together and we enjoyed our meal! This morning Oliver had to usher at church so we were up and out early. Watched the Packer game this afternoon and Oliver is now sound asleep! Tomorrow we plan to just hang around at the boat and relax. He has some chores but I will just read a book and rest.  We both have to start preparing for our church bazaar on November 7-I am giving tours of the graveyard while dressed as a woman who is buried there and Oliver is in charge of an entire street-food, prayer booths, book store and I don't know waht else. It will be a big job!

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is well.
