Welcome Aboard !!!

Well, having made the decision to forego our trip south, we are working on alternative plans for the next few months. We think we will first take a cruise, just for the fun of it and to get a bit more "boating" in. Then, we think we will rent a house in Florida for a month or so to get away from the horrible winter we will probably have in Wisconsin.

Right now, we're getting the boat ready to be pulled out and stored on October 12. We decided a little trip would be fun so 1-O-2, along with Rose Marie and Prime Time took a little jaunt up to Sheboygan on Thursday. The weather was cloudy and chilly but the lake was fairly smooth. This was Skipper's first boat trip and he did well. We bought some nice canvas crates for the dogs, and we put them on the bench up on the bridge. They have a big window where they can look at each other and they enjoyed it-we think. Arriving in Sheboygan, we did what the 6 of us always do--went to eat!  While we ate lunch at the Mucky Duck, we called and made a dinner reservation at our favorite restaurant there-Stefano's. We didn't eat until almost 9 and it was late before we got to bed. We left at 7 the next morning, because Oliver had a doctor's appointment AND was picking up his brand new Dodge RAM truck, and it was really windy so we had a rough ride home. The dogs were quiet but when we got to Port, we discovered that poor Skipper had thrown up. Fortun ately we were home by 8:30 so it was a short unpleasant trip!

Oliver has wanted a new truck all his life so we decided that it was time he fulfilled this particular dream! It's really nice-only the second time in my life that I've ever even been IN a pickup truck and the first time I ever drove one. Much different than the "old" days, I think. He put all the bells and whistles on it so we should be very comfortable traveling on land this year.

Stay tuned and we'll keep you all posted on our winter.

We really need a bigger bed now that we have 2 dogs!!

Hope nobody tells Skipper he could chew his way right out of this crate if he wanted to!

Here's Oliver's new truck!!
