Sally 11-06-2016 4:47:35 PM CST Renee--we are building on Lucy Creek which is on Lady's Island. It is actually just one street over from where we live now! We moved here 3 years ago from Wisconsin. We were lucky to sell the house we currently live in very quickly to people who leased it back to us! Our house in Wisconsin took 2 years to sell! We like Habersham very much and love our builders! Renee O'Connell 11-03-2016 3:03:06 AM CST Love following your blog - my mom recently moved to Habersham in Beaufort (have you been there - most beautiful community - Watermark built several homes in there too) but she's now selling her house and planning on moving closer to me in VA. Where did you move from (lovely home!) that was a quick sell! Mom's house has been for sale over a year. Where are you building your new home - Dataw Island? Keivn Hopper hopperlaw@aol.com 06-26-2012 3:10:40 PM CST Hello Sally, Island Hopper here. You will remember we have a Ocean Alex 48. WE are still looping now in Baltimore on the 6 year plan. We have been in longboat Key last 3 years. We had a welsh springer named Tate. He passed in march at age 15 so we decided to go smaller and no shed so after seeing Marina we now have a Welsh Terrier we picked up last week at age 6 months so no puppy. He is named Bryce. Came from a breeeder in Knoxville. His Dad was best of breed at westminster a few years ago. The breeder owns the dad. Please send me an email address and I will send a picture. WE are heding back to Baltimore this week (from our home Cincinnati) and then heading to Montreal via Husdaon river, etc. Winter in Brewerton then complete loop next year. Sally 05-13-2011 8:30:15 AM CST Hi Bill, we did actually use the Borwnie just to check and clean the bottom. Fortunately, we never had to inspect or work on props!! We actually ahve the Brownie for sale now but it was useful on the Loop. Bill 05-11-2011 10:37:17 AM CST Hi, Just wanted say I enjoyed reading your blog about the "Great Loop". I was curious, at one point you mention getting a Brownie Hooka system, did you ever get a chance to try it out? Thanks Charlie Murray equity@murraylawfirm.com 05-09-2011 6:09:18 AM CST Sally and Oliver: I found the article on your Great Loop trip. We also have a Sabre 47 "Equity" and are planning some long range voyaging on her. This summer we will be heading up the Hudson to Quebec/Montreal and back to our home port in Massachusetts. I am curious about whether you rigged a block or other system to lower and raise the mast on "One Oliver II" during your trip on the Erie Canal. If so, I would be interested in learning about what you used or whether you relied on the assistance of boatyards along the way. Charlie Murray Middle John 12-20-2010 4:45:50 PM CST Just ran across this address in my list of favorites. I enjoyed catching up on what you're doing.
